Riverside SD begins search for another new administrator

Phil Johnson is returning to his roots.
The Colville High School assistant principal was chosen to fill the principal vacancy at Riverside Middle School.
Riverside School District Superintendent Ken Russell said Johnson, the son of former area residents Todd and Gail Johnson and a 1993 Riverside High School graduate, was chosen over 30 other candidates for the position. He will assume his new duties on July 1.
• While Riverside School District officials have filled the RMS opening, another has opened up.
Juanita Murray, who has worked for 28 years in the school district (the last 13 as the principal at Chattaroy Elementary School) will retire at the end of the school year.
School district officials have started advertising for her replacement.
