Burn Training Exercise

Spokane Fire District 4 crews conducted a controlled, real-world structural burn training exercise for approximately 25 firefighters in Deer Park on Monday, May 18. According to Spokane Fire District 4, the firefighters in training went through various drills inside the structure, located behind Blue Vapors on Main Street, before it was ignited. They were then tasked with putting the fire out and containing it from spreading. “Exercises like this provide our firefighters with invaluable, real-world experience in fire behavior and suppression tactics, ensuring we are better prepared to protect our community when every second counts,” Spokane Fire District 4 posted online.
