Mother Nature caused schedule changes last week across multiple sports for area schools.
Wet grounds forced the Deer Park and West Valley soccer match on March 17 to be moved to Smith Field in Millwood. Deer Park senior Parker Russell gave the Stags the first tally of the contest only four minutes in. He would later add an assist on one of the three goals scored by Wyatt Johnson. The Eagles would prevail by a 5-4 final margin.
The Stags faced North Central at One Spokane Stadium on March 19. The Wolfpack found the net four times in a seven-minute span of the first half on their way to a 5-0 victory.
Riverside opened the 2026 campaign at home on March 19 against Rovers of the class 2A Greater Spokane League.
Mads Willhelm got the Rams on the board first with a goal in the 15th minute. The visiting Pirates would score the next six and take the match 6-1.
The Rams opened Northeast "A" League play at Colville on Tuesday with results unavailable at press time. They are scheduled to host Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) on Thursday, March 26, at 4 p.m.
Deer Park hosted East Valley on Tuesday with no results available at press time. Rogers is scheduled to visit the Stags on Thursday at 4 p.m.
