Northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 395 were temporarily blocked, bringing traffic to a standstill, following a traffic collision on June 16 near West Monroe Road, authorities said. Emergency dispatchers received reports of the crash at 10:49 a.m. at the intersection, located just south of Deer Park. Authorities said the incident initially blocked the left lane before completely obstructing both northbound lanes. Spokane County Fire District 4 officials said the agency dispatched nine emergency units to the scene. First responders were assisted by two American Medical Response ambulances, which evaluated and treated individuals involved. The Washington State Patrol officials say they are investigating the cause of the crash.
