The Deer Park Stags baseball team fit their three-game non-league schedule into a two-day span over spring break.

The Stags ventured north to Colville on April 8 for a pair of matchups. They opened the day against the host and former Northeast "A" League rival Crimson Hawks. Deer Park would come out swinging hot bats with a five-run first inning. The Stags held a 10-6 lead before Colville rallied with five runs in the final two frames to win 11-10.

Evan Brinlee, Pedar Tobeck, Issac Wadleigh, and Nikoli Hunsaker each had two hits. Brinlee and Hunsaker each drove in a pair.

Next up was Chelan from the Caribou Trail League, and the Goats were able to plate 10 runs in their first three turns at bat on their way to a 10-1 victory. Ezekiel Callaham scored the lone Stags run and had two hits and two stolen bases. Wadleigh had two hits, including a two-bagger, and Hunter Robb had two hits.

Deer Park faced another former Northeast "A" League foe in Medical Lake on April 9, under the lights of the Patterson Baseball Complex at Coach Steve Hertz Field at Gonzaga University.

The Cardinals, ranked ninth in the WIAA Class 1A RPI rankings entering the contest, held the Deer Park bats in check for a 7-0 win. Medical Lake pitching handcuffed Stag hitters, limiting the Deer Park offense to just three hits. Wadleigh, Carter Criss, and Payson Hanson had the Deer Park hits.

The Stags return to action Saturday, April 18, with a doubleheader at Rogers.
