The Deer Park baseball team sits in a third-place tie with Clarkston with four games remaining in their regular season.
The Stags held on to defeat North Central, 9-6, on April 23. Ian Olietti started on the mound, and the tandem of Payson Hansen and Caden Knudsvig closed out the win.
Hansen would finish with three hits and Knudsvig added a pair. Pedar Tobeck had two hits, one triple, and drove in a pair of runs. Carter Criss added two runs driven in.
Facing East Valley on April 24, the Stags trailed 3-0 in game one of their doubleheader before scoring four times in the bottom of the fourth. The visiting Knights would score twice in the top of the sixth to secure the 5-4 victory. Ezekiel Callaham had two hits and drove in two while Hansen had two hits.
Game two was a role reversal, and then some, with Deer Park securing a 10-1 triumph with a five-run bottom of the sixth inning. Hunter Robb went the distance on the mound and aided his own cause with two hits and two RBIs. Parker Hamilton had two hits and Olietti drove in a pair.
Deer Park visited West Valley on Tuesday, April 28; results were not available at press time. The Stags are scheduled to compete in a doubleheader at Pullman on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m.
