Former Deer Park Athlete Heads to National Baseball Tournament

Former Deer Park High School baseball standout Cole Krepcik (class of 2023), helped his Mid American Christian University squad make history last week in Shreveport, La., qualifying for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series for the first time in program history. The Evangels went 3-0, including two wins over defending national champion and host Louisiana State University-Shreveport. The Evangels will continue their season at the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Krepcik was also named second team All Sooner Athletic Conference and first team all region by the National Christian College Athletic Association. The former 2023 Washington State Class 1A Player of The Year, started 51 of 52 games in his junior collegiate season after playing two years for Spokane Colleges. He posted a 337 batting average with nine doubles, three triples, and three home runs with 41 runs batted in and 12 stolen bases in 16 attempts.
