Deer Park High School standout softball player Lucy Lathrop was named to the Varsity Washington all classification first team as designated hitter on June 12. The Lady Stags shortstop will enter her senior campaign spring 2027, already holding the program all-time home run record with 46, as well as the single season mark she set this past spring with 24. Her total was second only in the state to Jordan Jeske of class 2B Liberty High School in Spangle, who hit 27. Lathrop toted a .738 batting average, drove in 62 runs while scoring 72, and collecting 40 extra base hits.
