Local Boys Soccer Teams Struggle Against League Opponents

Both the Deer Park and Riverside boys soccer teams returned to action after spring break with a pair of league matches.

The Stags welcomed Clarkston on April 14. The visiting Bantams scored three times in the first five minutes on their way to a 9-0 victory.  Riverside made the short trip up Highway 2 for a matchup with Northwest Christian, which was won by the Crusaders 8-1. No details were available at press time.

Two days later, West Valley visited Deer Park. The score was tied at a goal each after Wyatt Johnson scored on an assist from Parker Russell in the 38th minute. The visiting Eagles went on to score three in the second half to win 4-1. Riverside entertained Colville, with the visiting Crimson Hawks prevailing 7-1. Liam Leech scored for the Rams in the 77th minute.

The Stags played North Central on Tuesday, April 21; details were not available at press time. The team is scheduled to travel to East Valley on April 23 at 4 p.m.

The Rams played Lakeside on Tuesday; no details were available. They are scheduled to face Medical Lake on April 23 at 4 p.m.
