Regional Softball Teams Come to Deer Park High School

The Spokane Mud- hens Softball Club hosted their annual Dirty Bird Invitational Tournament on June 27 at Deer Park High School and the Deer Park Sports Complex. Although none of the teams were based from the Deer Park or Riverside areas, both schools were represented. Deer Park senior Jillian Marshall plays first base for the 18U Mudhens. In the 14U age group, in- coming freshmen Lexi Piper, Violet Coordes, and Gracie Bircher played for the Mudhens and Villains teams from Spokane. One of the umpires in the 18U division games, played at the high school field, was Austin Stone, a 2026 Deer Park High School graduate, who was selected by the Spokane Softball Umpires Association to officiate the 2B/1B state tournament Memorial Day weekend in Yakima.
