The Deer Park Stags football team traveled south to Pullman on Oct. 2, returning to Greater Spokane League 2A competition against the Greyhounds. After a scoreless first quarter that saw Deer Park defensive back Caden Knudsvig put a quick end to the first Pullman drive with an interception, the Greyhounds reached the end zone three times to build a 22-0 halftime advantage.
The home side grew their lead to 36-0 before junior kicker Ben Jordan connected on a 28-yard field goal for the Stags lone score. Eion Bogle was the top rusher with 57 yards on eight carries. The senior added four receptions for 56 yards and a team-leading 16 tackles on the defensive side. Leo Panidis added nine tackles with Knudsvig having seven. Cam Noel was the top receiver with 76 yards on six catches. Deer Park plays their final road game on Friday, Oct. 9, at East Valley at 6 p.m. before closing the season with three straight at home.
