Loren Cary Ernst

Loren Cary Ernst. Born October 9, 1962, in Spokane, Washington. Loren passed away on February 17, 2026, in Arizona.  Loren attended primary and secondary school in Deer Park, Washington.  Loren enjoyed many sports, especially football.  Loren was the All-League Middle Linebacker his senior year and spent a brief time on the Spokane Falls Community College Football team.  Loren pursued his desire to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating from Life West Chiropractic College in 1989.  He purchased a chiropractic practice, “Ernst Chiropractic” in Smokey Point, Washington, in 1990.  Loren practiced chiropractic until he and his wife, Kathy, sold the practice in January of 2025.  Loren and Kathy moved to Arizona in 2025.

Loren lived life with joy.  Loren’s siblings include Brian (Julie) Ernst, Spokane, Washington; Damon (Shannon), Union, Washington; Luree Ernst (Spokane, Washington); and Darren (Jennifer), Spokane, Washington.

Loren’s dedication was to his wife Kathy and their children: son Nathan (Lynette), their children Norah, River, Jonah, son Colt (Brittany), their child Ivy & daughter Brielle.

Loren was the favorite uncle for all.  He has many nieces/nephews/grand-nieces/ grand-nephews.  His wit, humor, charm, kindness, generosity, charity, selflessness, hospitality, heart-felt care to those suffering pain were all special gifts he exhibited and shared.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Nona Ernst.

Loren became a follower of Christ in 2025.  We are thankful he is at home with the Lord.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
